Long Time Lurker

Group

I have been accessing this site for a long time (several years) and enjoy
it's imformaton..I have seen some truly off the wall stuff but have also
seen a lot of things that have done a world of good in expanding my
knowledge base, really technical stuff well founded in reality (pls. no
flames, I'm new!). I have identified the major participants and look
forward to their comments on different subjects.
To describe my position, I am a 50+ (years) Canadian who has spent his
entire life on the water and started rebuilding old wooden boats out of
necessity about twenty five years ago and became addicted to the restoration
and preservation of old wooden boats (WBRS) in my area. I am in Central
Canada. (Thunder Bay, Ont.) I own in partnership with two friends in two
Hereshoff 28's and I own outright a 80 year old wooden tug boat (40') which
was originally steam powered (friggin diesel now). I have built six new
boats to date and have under construction a Tahoe 23 (Mahogany Runabout)
which is taking me years to complete. Needless to say my plate is full, and
I do appreciate all available imput. This forum has proved benifecial in
that I have identified the principals and their information seems quite
sound. I hope to keep accessing the site and thank all for input on all
subjects. It's late and I've had a couple of rum/colas..hope this is not too
maudilin an introduction.

Just thought I should introduce myself as I am finding the site very
helpful.
