Couldn't find the regular labeled can for Woolsey Z-Spar Captains 1015
varnish the other day. Only thing on the shelf was a new label for Pettit Captains 1015. I realize the Pettit and Woolsey has the same mother company, but this label change worries me, particularly when they emphasize on the new label "that traditional AMBER color". I don't recall Woolsey every using that term 'amber' with the original Captains varnish. The only 'bell' it rings is that I seem to recall Pettit used to put out some 'amber' colored crap they called varnish that no one liked. Anybody have any input on this new Pettit labeled brand? I've written Pettit/Woolsey but haven't received a reply as yet. PaulM |
