How Much Will It Cost To Fix - Please Advise
I have a twin diesel that went down in fresh water as follows:
-hp Cummins diesels will cruise at 20 knots hit a channel buoy that had sunk and was 3 feet under the surface of the water and it occurred on July 3, 2003. The boat did not sink. The yacht hit the buoy with its port prop. which pulled the shaft back, damaging the shaft log, allowing water to get into the yacht and engine room. Rudder, strut, transmission, belhousing, shaft and prop on the port side will need replacement. Shaft log area has been temporarily repaired and the yacht is in the water. The Cummins engines and Kohler generator have been pickled. The carpeting and padding have been removed. What should I do with it now and how much should it cost me? Thank you |
