Good tip!
Looking at this cross section, there seems to be a stator before and
after the rotor

Jetquestions

Hi All,

A friend of mine bought an old boat with a 6 cil ford engine.
Well I managed to get the engine running again and it goes at the amazing speed
of about 10 kilometrs an hour, with the noice of 150 km per hour. :-)
The engine is running OK, he it seems to have no resistence whatsoever it runs
like a car engine, shifted in free.
Now I get the idea that there is a part missing in the jet. Does someone know
if there should be a stator before the prop? It looks to me the water is
rotating at high speed and the prop doesn't pump the water away.

Thank you for any help

Sounds like a prop that has too little pitch/dia. or that the
transmission is slipping badly.

I thought it is a "fixed" transmission, switch a toothweel on or off.

And about the pitch and dia you are right but I notized that there isn't much
speed difference between 2000 and 4000 RPM, thats why I suspect there is a part
missing.

Whats the transmission make? .... Paragon?

There is written " Castoloi " and idrogetti italy, I just found something on
the net about idrogetti, but not this jet.( jet)
