134a Refrigerant problem
If you are going to need 134a refrigerant you better buy it today, its
price will be tripled tomarrow. Some chain stores have already increased their price from $3.99 per small can to $ 12.20 per can. |
Richard,
It has been going up around here for 3 weeks. Over $11 for a 12 oz can right now. Is it going up again? I didn't think R-134 was made from crude oil. -- Glenn Ashmore I'm building a 45' cutter in strip/composite. For that kind of increase, it's got to be that a manufacturing plant has
gone offline for some reason.I expect that the industrial users (auto mfrs, appliance mfrs, HVAC suppliers) have their supplies locked up years in advance, so all the adjustment in demand is at the margin- the small bottom-feeders who break bulk and package the material for consumers. Next week, they'll be torpedoing the hairspray market. "Glenn Ashmore" wrote in message news:7w6Xd.54329$SF.49853@lakeread08... Richard, It has been going up around here for 3 weeks.
