![]() I am trying to shoehorn a couple of plastic tempo diesel tanks under my cockpit sole. To maximize the space utility, I have to change the straight fill fittings to 90 degree take-offs by using elbow fittings. Does anyone know where i might find such beasts - have to be 1.5" id, flexible and fuel resestant. An hour with google led me down many interesting paths, but none ended with what I need. john |

![]() thanks for the links - but what they seem to show is hose formed into curves - what i hope to find is a molded elbow with no radius on the inside curve. john habbi wrote: : www.mermaidmarine.com : www.stright-mackay.com : "John Knox" wrote in message : ... : : I am trying to shoehorn a couple of plastic tempo diesel tanks : under my cockpit sole. Do you mean to say the fittings have to be flexible?

You are going to have a real problem with a close 90 ell in the fill line.
It is going to cause to much back pressure and make refueling a real PITA. Find a way to fit a sweep ell or a 45. my old tank (metal) had a tight elbow built in - the fill line
ran across the top of the tank. it filled slowly, but, hey - it is a sailboat - i don't refuel that often.
