Size of motor well

I am building a boat and wonder about the size of the
motor well. I am intending to use a 35Hp outboard long shaft.
How wide, deep and long is suitable for the motorwell?

The project can be seen he http://www.oddgeirkvien.com/baat
sorry it is only in norwegian, but there are a lot of pictures.

I would like to submit exactly the same question, but I am interested to
smaller motor, in the 8-15 hp range.
If I am right there is a "book of standards" for the minimum dimension.
Unfortunately I am unable to find it...
Anyone knows the minimum reuired sizes?

Tank you all

it should be wide enough to put the lower leg + prop through, that is all.
Apart from that, keep it small, as a motorwell is a lot of lost buoancy at
the end of the boat.

No it isn't. The attachment is no attachment at all, it is just one line of
text, starting with 'begin' followed by two spaces and then followed by a
file name. Due to a bug in Microsoft Outlook, it sees this as a file
attachment, which it is not. Some people find it 'amusing' to create such a
fake attachment just to scare users of Outlook.

The moral? Don't use Outlook.
