paint over resin?

Hi, Does anyone know if I can paint over resin and if so, with what
and how?! I just patched up part of the floor of an older boat with
glass tape covered with resin and now want to cover that repair up. I
don't know what is on the floor right now (bought it used), some paint
or something kinda smooth but textured. Any ideas would be great!

You don't say what kind of resin. You can definitely paint over it,
anyway.

Make sure you follow the paint manufacturer's directions about surface
prep and priming and so on.

If worse comes to worse, you can probably use an epoxy primer on almost
anything, then paint over that with some compatible paint. I think almost
all paints are compatible with epoxy primers, but read the instructions.

Whatever you use, make sure you do a good job on the surface prep first!
Any paint job can be ruined if there is grease or dirt or a waxy film of
any kind on the surface.
