Cleaning Aluminum???
Hi Folks
Attempting to 'restore' some aluminum fittings and trim on a restoration project. Anyone have method for removing the worst of the oxidation, etc? Paul Oman progressive epoxy polymers www.epoxyproducts.com/marine.html |

Hi, Very fine wet-or-dry sandpaper or maybe even a paint prep pad, followed up by T-Cut or metal polish should do it. Once the aluminium is restored it would be worth protecting with a waxy rust inhibitor like LPS-3. cheers, Pete. |
