catamaran exhaust location

I am completing a 43ft motorsailing cat with 2 x 50hp diesels. Running
the wet exhausts thru the outside of the hulls is difficult, so it has
been suggested that they exit on the inside about 1/3 of the way from
the stern. I am concerned that fumes may come up over the stern into
the cockpit. Has anyone done this? Any advice much appreciated.

My exhausts, on a PDQ 36 LRC, are on the outside. I can't imagine putting them
inside, under the bridge deck. The other day I was commenting on how its nice
the cockpit stays free of fumes even with a following wind.

On the other hand, most Prouts under 38 feet use a single diesel which exhausts
out the middle (I think), so it can't be that evil. And of course, most exhaust
out the transom. But then, most people think diesels are "stinky".

Hope the helps. ;-}
