Sure he did lots of illegal recreational drugs years ago as evidenced by his posts to alt.drugs but that doesn't necessarily mean he still does illegal recreational drugs. I think he's probably turned over a new leaf by now. Everybody deserves a second chance, don't you think? Even if he did lie or withhold information on his captain's license it doesn't matter. It seems like almost all the politicians such as Clinton and Obama did illegal recreational drugs in their younger days. So, what's the big deal? And they had to fill out applications to the Bar which also ask if they ever used illegal recreational drugs and I'm sure they omitted information or lied, too. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Besides, they are liberals and liberals live by different standards. They never claimed to have any morals or ethics so they don't have to live a moral or ethical life. It's only conservatives who have to do that because they claim they are moral and ethical in the first place. The action doesn't matter. It's the hypocrisy that matters. Liberals can't be said to be hypocritical because they never claimed to embrace ethics or morality. Therefore, they can do no wrong. The Gay One never claimed to be moral or ethical so his using and bragging about using illegal recreational drugs cannot be held against him. It's not even illegal to a liberal because a liberal never accepted it as being illegal. Liberals, after all, by virtue of their philosophy cannot be held to any normal standards of behavior since they never claimed to adhere to any normal standards of behavior. Liberals aren't murders when they abort a viable, unborn baby. They just don't recognize the living and developing human being as being human. Case closed. No human involved then there's no murder. Pretty simple. Again, no moral standards and no ethical standards, no foul. The same goes for liberal politicians such as William Jefferson, Democrat, LA who has been indicted for taking large bribes and got caught on film doing so and even stashed the bribe money in his freezer. The man never claimed to be moral or ethical so he did no wrong. Let him be. Let him continue to serve. I think the Gay One is getting a bad rap around here.
