Navigation Weekend: Mystic Seaport, June 6-8
 

Just a quick reminder on the upcoming "Celestial Navigation Weekend"
at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic Connecticut. It's only two weeks
away, June 6,7,8, 2008.

Our topics this year include "longitude by lunar distances",
"celestial navigation education", and the "fiftieth anniversary of the
modern Nautical Almanac", among other subjects. Our speakers include
academic historians and mathematicians, experienced practical
navigators, and private historians of navigation. There's a detailed
