No longer a sailor

Well, I need to admit that I am no longer a sailor.
Settled today on the big cat which was bought by the family that has
been leasing her.
I now have only a couple of dinghys after selling my Etchells a few
months back and the big boats earlier in the year.

I'm a landlubber!!?

IMHO a person with your experience & skills will *always* be a sailor.
It's the Bobsprit-like people in this world who have a need for
ownership of a boat.

Besides, if you are looking forward to your next opportunity to go out
sailing, then that makes you a sailor!

Only if you've lost all interested.

The time between selling one boat and buying another, doesn't count
against "sailor" status, no matter how long that time period may be.

I'm a landlubber!!?

Not unless you choose to be. And for many of us, it's not possible
even if it makes more sense lol!

Congratulations on selling the cat, I'm sure you did well on the
deal?
We'll be happy to take you out for a sail when we arrive on your
shores later this year! Maybe we can talk you into sharing some local
knowlege?

I guess it's like riding a bike, but honestly, I really don't miss the
sea at the moment.
I'm sailing the air in my plane having a great time flying all over Oz
with my son.

Look me up when you fly in to Innamincka. Use the Homestay not the pub.
