We are now slightly more than 5/6th done with our "Great Loop" cruise,
yesterday we transited the LAST lock we will go thru. We're on the familiar East Coast ICW and headed north (against the flow of traffic). Unfortunately we have family reasons to hurry home, or it would be very pleasant to cruise this last bit of our Loop slowly & lazily. Tonight we are anchored near an island in the Indian River just south of Cape Canaveral; at 3 pm this afternoon we saw the shuttle launch. We have taken the time along the way to stop & visit some good friends, it is really nice to spend time with people you have gotten to know over the years. I hope that more of you will stop by our home... or maybe join us on a short cruise... Sincerely Doug King |
