Makes sense. Back circa 1947 agro-scientists developed a
new type of rice
that yeilded 7X as much food for the same land, et
cetera. Starvation
disappeared, right? Hell no! People just made more
babies until now 7X as
many are starving. Same goes for all the environmental
band aids. It
doesn't help to reduce individual polution, then make
more individuals.
Unless we control and reduce human population, nature
will do it for us -
prolly using less than happy methods.


Could not agree more, Vito. We don't need more oil, nuke
power, wars in odd
places, or any of that stuff. If the population of the
earth was cut by 70%
there would be enough of everything for everybody, and the
impacts of pollution
would also shrink by 70%. I personally believe that man
contributes to Global
Cilmate change and a host of other ills, but I see
reducing the population as
the REAL cure for all of it. For openers, lets stop
cheering research on ways to
make people live longer. It may make some people feel
good, but it is extremely
counter-productive if you want the world to become a
better place.

We need less people.
