Joe I have a vial of Mt St Helen's volcanic ash.... you got that out of your sweeper bag last week. |

I've got the pen (quill) that was used to sign the Declaration of Independence. Hey Scotty, I have a hunk of the gray slate that came off the back porch walk to Independance Hall. Got to ring the Liberty bell the same day I picked up the slate. I bet Ben Franklin stood upon it during a smoke break. I have a vial of Mt St Helen's volcanic ash... I have a vial of glacier dust...and a piece of the Rock of Gibraltar. Heck, that's nothing. I have a moon rock and Babe Ruth's bat that he used to hit his 700th home run. Plus I have one of Alexander the Great's sandals (used to have the pair but the dog chewed one) and the paint brush that Leonardo used to paint the Mona Lisa. I used to have the steering wheel off the Titanic but it was bad luck to keep it on the boat. DSK |

It was collected from the beach area in front of the Mendenhall Glacier. Use to have sand collected by a G.I. on Iwo Jima...sold it on e-bay. Joe |

Joe Joe, in reality, most of Michigan is glacial dust...as is anywhere else where glaciers passed over and ground the substrate into particulates....yours is just a tad fresher than most... |

Gee wiz, Sloco, maybe you'be interested in my boxed GP-9 series from 1958. It's never been run and according to Lionel is the only complete set they've seen with all packing intact. Bill of sale from the original Alexanders is still in the box as well. My father gave it to me along with an excellent 665 (and yes I have the milk car) and most of the Burlington Alco set with silver finish. I'll sell the GP-9 at auction eventually, though I may cave in and give to a friend who's been begging for it for years. My father also owns the pink girls set in VG condition and the Dynamo pantograph, which is in fair shape. Cheers, SLOWco! RB 35s5...faster than a Express 30 NY I use to hang out with Neal Young when he bought Lionel. He was working on remote controlled systems for his son. Anyhow..he would put this on the loud speakers and rock the room while running his trains. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JminC...elated&search= Joe |
