Doug Remains an Idiot

Even after I expose Doug again about IOR influence on the 35s5 hull,
he's still got enough chip on his shoulder to bring it up again.

For those who think Doug should be trusted as a reliable source,
please read the following link:

I think Robert H. Perry knows a thing or two. What's so funny is that
IOR "earmarks" in the design were noticed by a several people since I
bought her and discussed. It's not even open for debate since the
designers even mentioned it when she won Cruising World's Boat of the
Year.
Yet Doug missed it...and still holds to his belief that it's not true.
What a frikin idiot Doug is and a total blowhard.

He doesn't even own a sailboat.

??

What have you exposed, other than that you can't read and you don't
know what "IOR-influenced" means?

A long time ago you claimed you were going to post photos showing the
IOR tuck in your 35s6s stern. Since it's got a big flat section, that
would be rather difficult.

And you can look up what I said on the matter.

The tuck is there, Doug. As you walk towards the stern (while she's on
the hard obviously) the hull pushed inwards for about the 3rd of her
length. READ it again.

Perry mentions this in his comments on the design. She has two other
earmarks of the IOR design. DO you know what they are?

Once again, I doubt you've sailed a 35s5 or know much about them. Yet
you comment on sailboats that you barely know!

That's an idiot defined.

Read 'em and weep, Bubbles. Please quote the part where Perry says the
35s5 has a tucked stern.

From Boobsie's link, comments by Robert Perry:

"The 35s5 came in at the tail end of the IOR era. The hull form shows
IOR earmarks. The pinched stern had been designed out of favor by the
New Zealand designers, who proved that it was better to take the aft
girth penalty and to give the boat a more effective stern shape with
more volume and beam aft."

Ouch, it's getting nasty.

Let's get this straight:

Are you claiming that the aft section of the 35s5 hull does pinch
inwards towards the stern?

If you are claiming that you are DEAD WRONG and I'll prove it with
photos when the boat is on the hard.

As usual there;s serious doubt that you know what you're talking
about.
