Is that Sedan made in China like Thomas's 4 wheel drive toy?

Better check the paint, and I hope you keep on top of all the re-call

Neither is made in China. Subaru is one of a few companies using more
ecologically sound paint chemistry. The downside is that the paint is
less durable.

My wife's great grandfather fought against the USA. What does that

Yeah? So? They still do better by US workers than Ford or GM. How do I
know? My uncle worked for GM and finished out his career with Subaru.
He hated GM as did many of his co-workers. These companies used to
lead the world and now they are a blazing symbol of US' lack of
imagination and pride in workmanship.
Try driving a Ford Fusion or Pontiac G6. Drive a new Vette after just
a single year and listen to the rattles. My Sedona isn't just "better"
than than Chrysler's vans; it's like night & day better. US built cars
are simply...a shame. My father was one of the last holdouts, doggedly
buying American cars until just 17 months ago. He finally gave up and
bought a Subaru. Patriotism is not an excuse to sell people junk. If
there was a car as good as my Subaru LGT made by the USA and it was 3
or even 5K more, I'd buy it! THAT would be patriotic.

It is not political, it is about humanity. Out of respect for my

If Japan admits all of it's crimes and asks us for forgiveness. Then

The Boobster says he doesn't live in the past but the stuff he puts
forth regarding American cars clearly places him in the past.
American cars in 2007 are quality products as good as their Jap
competition. By the way Corvettes stopped rattling "after a year"
years ago. Everyone knows that story has become an old wives tale
these days. As far as cars from overseas goes try buying what is
considered the finest. My neighbor has a E series MB. It's now out
of warrenty. Every trip to the dealer for service costs him $1,000.
Wiper blades are $60! And you can't get them at the local parts
store. Or how about a BMW? There great cars right. Do a check on
service recalls on those babies. Count how many per model per year.
As far as the Boobs kiddy car goes he was just caught up in the 0-60
time per dollar advertising plus he wanted to be admired by the
teenage skanks he cruises for.

What a laugh! Hey, trailer trashy, do you even drive US built cars?
Ever drive a Ford Focus, Jeep Liberty or Lincoln Navigator? Ever
notice how those cars have switch-gear that gets stuck in the dash?
Ever check the average longevity of a Chrysler mini van vs. a Toyota?
Oh, and I know someone with a new Vette. FAST car, but the rattles
continue. And for anyone who thinks Sloco has a clue, please check the
Motor Trend Vette forums where HALF of the late model owners complain
about squeaks and rattles.
The wives tale that US cars have about equaled overseas models was
printed by some papers and so on. I don't know any enthusiasts who
agree with it. What can you expect from a guy like Sloco? Has he ever
driven an STI, LGT or BMW 335? Of course not. He lives in a bubble of
ignorance. He thinks improved reliability makes these cars a match for
a Subaru or a BMW? Is he kidding? US car makers can't make ANYTHING as
refined or simply as nice as a Subaru or BMW. Anyone who's driven a
2007 Navigator vs. a BMW X5 knows what I mean. And......

If you care about things like refined usage of fuel....the average of
the top five MPG American cars gets 27.4 mpg in the city and 33.2 mpg
on the highway, while the average of the top five Japanese cars get
46.2 mpg in the city and 49 mpg on the highway. This equates to 68%
better gas mileage in the city and 48% better gas mileage on the
highway for Japanese cars. My LGT that does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds uses
less gas than a Chevy Cobalt!
Come to think of it....in the last 11 days I sailed J29, Santana 30/30
and the 35s5....all faster than Sloco's water-dragging Express-O-
Snail!!!!

I seriously suggest you take an honest look at American cars......

He's not going to, Ozzy. The US builders are such a mess it almost
boggles the mind. Imagine that the Japanese companies perfected the
economy car and brought it to a level no one could have imagined. The
US builders STILL can't match it. Then Korean companies come here and
do the same thing, still with no solid answer from the US builders.
Then companies like Subaru and Honda refine small chassis designs even
further and make fun cars out of them. A lot of people are correctly
impressed with an STI over the Vette because the STI does so much more
with it's AWD system. You can bet the new Evo will be a killer as
well. The Vette is a danger in anything but smooth dry driving.
There's always some tool like poor Sloco who thinks his Lincoln is a
match for a BMW. Why? Cuz he read it. I've driven a 330 XI and 335 XI
and the only reason to look at a Lincoln would be to save money. And
you'd lose it on resale!
The American car companies have no answer at all to my AWD LGT Turbo.
No response to cars like a 5 series. And when Pontiac comes out with
their all out effort to dethrone the Miata with the Solstice & Saturn
Sky....they fail. Then Mazda slams the door harder with the power
hardtop version. In spite of Inventing the Minivan, the Chrysler
models are the worst on the market while a newer entry from Kia ranks
#1 or #2 on most lists. Even VW has an amazing transmission in thier
slick hardtop convirtible. And then there's my neighbor who just sold
his Dodge truck and bought the Honda Ridgeline. He says it's like
going from a covered wagon to a starship.
Of course anyone with eyes and time behind the wheel of the latest
cars knows this. Even as US car makers improve reliability, they are
far far behind in every other respect.
People like Sloco look at something nice, like a 330 XI and say,
"Okay, what will seem almost as nice for less?" And then they lay down
their money like chumps and claim it's about being patriotic! A chump
is a chump and that's exactly what Sloco is.

The USA can't even design a good TOY car! Powerwheels ride-ons have NO
disc brakes, NO rack & pinion steering, low torque and miserable
battery life. Thomas drives a Pen Perego Gaucho Superpower, the only
24 volt model on the market. It's bigger, faster and safer by a mile.
I suppose Sloco would buy the 200 dollar powerwheels at Target and
think that's fine. I wonder if Target will be selling US cars soon?

Only one solution...get rid of the unions....problem is, when whoever
tells the designers to design a car, the designers are constrained by
cost...when the majority of the cost is sucked up into union inflated
wages, then you're not going to get a quality car because that's not
where the effort is...

I think it's a match and I've proven it. Any money lost on the resale

Nope. My wife's father drives a 335 and a friend left me with a 2005
330 XI while she was in Spain for two months. A lot of folks here
drive BMW XI's, Subarus and Audi's. The only complaints I hear are
from the Audi owners. The 330 XI I drove had more than 80K on it and
it was still like a new car in every way.
If you think a 330XI doesn't handle well you probably didn't drive it
on the correct tires, a common error made by losers who think they
know something about cars. As Canadian driver said, "The 330 XI is not
about bang for the buck." I can't find any negative reviews for the
330XI or the newer 328 or the well loved 335 XI.
Your comment about warranty shows everyone just what a poor loser you
are. I don't keep cars beyond their warraty periods and neither do
most enthusiast drivers who have the means to trade as they please.
I'll probably trade the new LGT in for the STI version in less than
two years.

Well, we sail side by side with those boats and J30's and 35's owned

always pulling away on a reach. Upwind it's anyone's game except that

those boats, or yours!
Dude, get over it. I have a nicer boat than yours. It's faster. It's
