I seriously suggest you take an honest look at American cars......
He's not going to, Ozzy. The US builders are such a mess it almost boggles the mind. Imagine that the Japanese companies perfected the economy car and brought it to a level no one could have imagined. The US builders STILL can't match it. Then Korean companies come here and do the same thing, still with no solid answer from the US builders. Then companies like Subaru and Honda refine small chassis designs even further and make fun cars out of them. A lot of people are correctly impressed with an STI over the Vette because the STI does so much more with it's AWD system. You can bet the new Evo will be a killer as well. The Vette is a danger in anything but smooth dry driving. There's always some tool like poor Sloco who thinks his Lincoln is a match for a BMW. Why? Cuz he read it. I've driven a 330 XI and 335 XI and the only reason to look at a Lincoln would be to save money. And you'd lose it on resale! The American car companies have no answer at all to my AWD LGT Turbo. No response to cars like a 5 series. And when Pontiac comes out with their all out effort to dethrone the Miata with the Solstice & Saturn Sky....they fail. Then Mazda slams the door harder with the power hardtop version. In spite of Inventing the Minivan, the Chrysler models are the worst on the market while a newer entry from Kia ranks #1 or #2 on most lists. Even VW has an amazing transmission in thier slick hardtop convirtible. And then there's my neighbor who just sold his Dodge truck and bought the Honda Ridgeline. He says it's like going from a covered wagon to a starship. Of course anyone with eyes and time behind the wheel of the latest cars knows this. Even as US car makers improve reliability, they are far far behind in every other respect. People like Sloco look at something nice, like a 330 XI and say, "Okay, what will seem almost as nice for less?" And then they lay down their money like chumps and claim it's about being patriotic! A chump is a chump and that's exactly what Sloco is. The USA can't even design a good TOY car! Powerwheels ride-ons have NO disc brakes, NO rack & pinion steering, low torque and miserable battery life. Thomas drives a Pen Perego Gaucho Superpower, the only 24 volt model on the market. It's bigger, faster and safer by a mile. I suppose Sloco would buy the 200 dollar powerwheels at Target and think that's fine. I wonder if Target will be selling US cars soon? RB 35s5 NY |
