Hello,
I have a Yanmar 3gm30fc w / SD20 Saildrives that stalls when reducing RPM. I think I've isolated the problem to be with the engine mounts. The engine wabbles quite a bit when de-throttling and stalls. Starts right up with no problem, idles and engages in forward and reverse with no problem. It stalls when coming down from 2k rpm. The mounts are from 1998 so they are probably needing to be replaced. So my question is how do I install the new mounts? I'm told that I can 'jack' up the engine from the hatch using a 2 ton lift and supporting rope, block the engine, remove the engine mount side bolts and slide out the old and slide in the new. Seems straightforward though curious if anyone has similiar experiences. Thanks, Bob |
