When you pan the camera around the motion is much to fast and jerky. The passagers should introduce themself when they come into the screen, or wave. The lighting was OK but a nice reflector on the sail shot seems in order. Maybe a better script next time. And the wardrobe dept should tone down the and mix costumes a bit better. Not bad but could use some improvement. Joe |

Why does the guy steering have to stand on the swim platform? Shouldn't the
binnacle be further forward? Line against hatch. Wrong sail twist. No handle in active winch. End of throw line not fixed to boat. Kids not wearing life jackets, it is required by law! |

I can tell you the errors without even looking at the video. 1) Cover is still on the compass. 2) Fenders hanging over the sides 3) Captain is way too fat 4) Women are pasty white 5) Jib is sheeted incorrectly so it's flapping. 6) Motor is running Wilbur Hubbard |

First the microphone is picking up way to much wind noise, get a big
foam ball for it. It's a digicam, so really no simple way to cut the wind noise. When you pan the camera around the motion is much to fast and jerky. I was practically falling off the boat as I was holding the camera, my binoculars, and my cell phone. The passagers should introduce themself when they come into the screen, or wave. Good point. The lighting was OK but a nice reflector on the sail shot seems in order. Problemmatic with my dark kevlar and mylar. Maybe a better script next time. Oliver Stone worked on it. He also wrote Conan The Barbarian. RB 35s5 NY |

Line against hatch.
Correct! Wrong sail twist. Correct! No handle in active winch. Wrong! With a child in the cockpit we no longer leave handles in winches. End of throw line not fixed to boat. Wrong. It is attached and a tie with a snap is all that holds it. Kids not wearing life jackets, it is required by law! Wrong. Thomas is wearing his jacket. RB 35s5 NY |

I also purchased a very nice telescope. It was a display model that I got from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It is one of the largest that Meade makes. It is far superior to the One of Largess plus the night sky in my area is completely devoid of any light pollution. If your kids are starting to drive consider the Toyota Corolla over the Subaru Impreza. It has a far superior crash rating, far superior gas mileage and is 1/2 the price. Hosanna! |

If your kids are starting to drive consider the Toyota Corolla over the Subaru Impreza. It has a far superior crash rating, far superior gas mileage and is 1/2 the price. Wow! Bob didn't do his research. Meade continues to have serious quality control errors and mirror defects. You better do a lot of tests on that scope....which you did not buy of course. I now own a Starsplitter 10". Look it up. As for the Corolla....great car for kids, but no AWD which can keep you out of accidents. The Subaru also handles better, stops better and has more torque. Both cars scored good overall ratings in crash tests. The Corolla scored better, but the Subaru is more likely to avoid an accident. I'd avoid BOTH cars and do what I did...buy a Subaru Legacy GT. It's well worth spending more and my Legacy as a full 5 star crash rating just like all of my other cars. Bob is not responsible suggesting the Corolla and Imprezza which are NOT 5 star rated. I drove to MA last week and averaged 27.4 MPG in S mode aboard the Legacy GT. That's amazing for a car that can do the 1/4 mile in under 14 seconds stock. Forget the Corolla and Imprezza. Bad pic, Donal. I used my scope last night and I now own a very high quality custom Starsplitter. It's a better scope than yours and I'm now living under true dark skies. And I didn't miss two years of sailing because I couldn't handle my kids either. You can bet I'll do better when Thomas is older. I'm glad you admitted you haven't sailed much in two years! WOW! Donal, I forgot to mention that my Meade telescope is a custom built one of a kind, made just for the Consumer Electronics Show. It was assembled by a telescope maker of intertional repute, using the highest grade COTS optics. It is not a factory Meade. I even had a concrete pad made just for the scope which sit upon concrete pylons sunk 20 feet into the earth. Next is the structure to put around it! I can remotely control with an extended bus from my computer and replaced the eyepiece with a high quality scientific camera. I hope to have it all together by September and will put up some pictures on my website. I'm linking it with the local school so students can RC the telescope/camera at night, it's pretty easy to do since I helped set up their remote weather station too. The Corolla is an outstanding value for your kids. 5 star crash rating for the passenger and the driver. To get that in a Subaru Impreza you would have to sit in the passenger seat and drive plus spend another 100% for the car and 100% more for the lackluster fuel economy. You just can't beat a Corolla for value. |

for the passenger and the driver. 4 stars for rear. There are 5 star cars available now, so why buy a Corolla? It also has average handling and no AWD. Buy a Legacy 2.5i or GT or any good car with 5 stars all around. Don't get a Corolla or Impreza...unless you want an STI or something fun like that! RB 35s5 NY |
