Been there, done that! My boardsailing record is 43mph. That's fifteen years ago. Clocked on police radar. F2 Bullit sinker, Da Kine split foil, high aspect ratio skeg, Da Kine seat harness, 7.5 m2 Mylar RAF, 35knot off-shore wind, flat water off a causeway, skinsuit, body weight 180lbs. NOBODY, and I say it again, NOBODY here but myself is man enough to handle a 7.5 square meter sail in a 35 knot wind. NOBODY! Wilbur Hubbard |

When was the last time you flew a 400+ square foot spinnaker in 35 knot winds? "Edgar" wrote: That is truly impressive... and you gave it all up for a Swan 68. How can you live with yourself? He's the only person that will live with him. "Wilbur" can't even get a date with Rosie Palm BTW for the record, I have sailed windsurfers in 30+ knot winds and I bet some of the other regulars have too. But then some of us have also sailed fast monohulls, multis, etc etc, which "Wilbur" has never done. But then, ASA seems to attract more than it's share of empty-headed blow hards.
