Has it occurred to anybody that newsgroups are obsolete as a source of
information?

What with Google, Wiki and other ways of finding out things on the
Internet who needs the opinions of questionable newsgroup sources.

I guess that's why newsgroups have turned into bar brawls with people
just sniping at each other. It's a crying shame.
