A curiosity question: If something like that happens on a dock, whose insurance pays for the other boats that were damaged? Does the otiginal cruiser's liablilty insurance cover the destruction to the other 4 boats since they were" innocent bystanders" sitting where they were supposed to be? Does the original boat's liability insurance pay for the repairs to the marina? The boat that burns pay to fix everything. We had some clowns 30 ftr catch on fire here in the yard, he caught a nice 50 ft yacht on fire and melted the side. He had no insurance, so they sued the marina. Luckly the marina owner has a release of liabilty form everyone has to sign to be hauled out. Joe |
