Bush's Continued Shameful Treatment of Wounded Veterans
"Nathan Branden" wrote in message ... I am beginning to think Bush should be impeached. How can he allow such shameful medical treatment of brave men (and women, though they don't belong there) wounded in battle? Is this how America thanks those who gave the most? The Democrats should sieze the issue and run with it. Forget about Gonzalez and Rove, they are just diversions. The Democrats should really show they support the troops through immediate action. http://www.wusa9.com/news/news_artic...?storyid=56746 Please, everyone write letters to your Senators and Congressman. We can't discard and abuse those who defend America. Nathan Nathan, you are a walking, talking contradiction. On the one hand you say we can't discard and abuse those who defend American and on the other hand you side with Democrats who are actively talking about defunding the military. On the one hand you talk about impeaching the President (Commander-in-Chief) and on the other hand you say you cant' discard those who defend America. Is the Commander-in-Chief not defending America? It seems to me he's aggressively pursuing the war against Islamic Fascist Terrorists while his Democrat predecessor was more concerned with actively running and hiding from terrorists attacks. On the one hand, you claim wounded veterans are getting shameful treatment while on the other hand you belittle female veterans who can be and often are wounded as badly as male soldiers. America does plenty to thank those who are wounded in the service to their country. But, you cannot expect perfection in ANY government run institution and military hospitals are no exception. While it is unfortunate there is so much red tape and so much waiting and bureaucracy wounded soldiers have to put up with, it is a fact of life. If soldiers weren't getting treatment that would be a severe indictment of military hospitals but they are getting treatment. This recent scandal, like most everything else lately is just another political football. Military hospitals just didn't suddenly start having excessive bureaucracy and aging buildings during the current administration. It's all been going on for years and years and the lack of funding by the previous Democrat administration is more to blame than anything the current administration has done. So, get your head out of your ass, there Nathan. Try to think for yourself and don't fall for everything you hear or read on the left-wing media outlets. I know it's hard for Viet Nam era Vets to be grounded in reality but you should try. You cannot go around forever like that "threw my medals over the fence" whiner, John Kerry. You have to grow a pair and stop blaming everybody for everything. Wilbur Hubbard |

If the Democrats constantly claim to support the troops and are so pro-veteran why is nothing getting done? They have control of Congress, yet they don't have the spine to immediately withdraw nor do they have the compassion to help our brave wounded veterans. I stand by what I say, women don't belong in combat. I think things are beginning to happen. We do need to give them time to deal with this and the other issues, but I also agree that they need to step up to the plate and get going. I don't think there's anything wrong with women in combat roles, assuming they're physically up to the task (but this is true for anyone). We should bring back the draft rather than putting women in harm's way. The Republicans are very, very bad but even with Bush's approval rating at 30% the Democrats barely got control of Congress. Do you know why? Because they are and it seems always will be much worse than the Republicans. They now have the opportunity to make a difference, demonstrate excellence and all they do is petty political fighting. I agree with the draft proposal. You need to serve on the front lines to be useful. Some service should be mandatory. The want to tear Bush down, why can't they demostrate through action that they can do better? Where has the eternal optimism and idealism of Ronald Reagan gone? I'm for Mitt Romney. He seems to be an optimist, is tall and handsome and his wife is stunning. That man will best represent America. He has it all, a Mormon running the liberal bilge state of Massachussetts. He appeals to everyone and represents all the good possible in America. I will be priveleged to vote for the man. None of the qualifications you cite for Romney are actually qualifications in any real sense. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |
