I remember back when Clinton was president one of the Republican
Senators/Congressman from either of the Carolinas was calling for an
assasination. I didn't see any outrage then. Maher is a private citizen, not
a solon.

I Tivo'd the show and heard what he said. Even though I hate Cheney, I don't
wish him dead. I didn't like what Maher said, but he's got a right to say
it.

Aren't you the same Jonathan Ganz who said it was "disgusting" for a
conservative, Ann Coulter, to make a joke about Edwards being a
"faggot?" But, you think it's perfectly OK for a liberal to say he
wishes the Vice President Cheney assassination attempt would have
succeeded? Don't tell me you don't see any hypocrisy there. Or maybe you
don't really see it as hypocrisy. In that case your thinking is warped.
