tacking all afternoon
Unfortunately, I was playing golf not sailing... new set of clubs, so I had
to get out there and try them. Ended up tacking up just about every fairway. Sigh.... -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |

Did you go aground when you went into the shallows? No, but the rough was, well, rough. I had a fair lead at first, but then it was the doldrums for the rest of the afternoon. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |

Jon,
I know your fustration. That game (Hah) beat me. I was playing with my regular foursome and had just finished the 8th hole with a double bogey and was 3 over par and still on the 9th hole. Finished 3 over for that hole. I excused myself after nine, came home and put those damn Clubs in the Garage and never swung another Club to this Day. The game beat me! That was some thirty years ago. I missed the fellowship but never once have I missed the game. So, good luck with you new "Golf Bats" http://community.webtv.net/tassail/ThomJazz |

My Dad took me golfing once...said that if I could ever get the ball to go straight that I'd be great...I thought it was the most boring afternoon I ever spent...if I want a "do nothing" sport, I prefer to just sit in the dinghy with my fishing pole hoping nothing will bite... |

It's about precision, timing, and the illusiory perfection most people seek. It's also about friendship and challenge. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |
