20 days in the Caribbean!
The deal has been made.
Soon I'll be off to the Caribbean for thee weeks! I'm teaching a Bareboat class, racing in a major regatta, and then cruising for 10 days. I'm thinking I may try out one of those IC-24's for a few days too. Has anyone tried one yet? Bart |

She's running a sailing school there but I don't recall the name of it right now. She's the cutie in the middle. http://www.sailinglinks.com/images/IMG_0170.jpg Barb s/v Arabella www.sailinglinks.com |

We're in the teens...frigid frigid...but no precip so that's fine...my daughter called me last night and said that they ahven't been able to get the snow off the foads for the past 3 days up in Grand Rapids and that people are using their snowmobiles to go to the store! |

Your timing is perfect, weather wise. I'm thinking I may try out one of those IC-24's for a few days too. Has anyone tried one yet? Yes. Significant ergonomic improvement over the old J-24. Otherwise it's the same boat, a bit less powered up by a crew willing to suffer to get weight outboard of the rail; the builders claim they are lighter & stiffer than the old arched-deck design but I noticed the deck & cockpit had approximately the same amount of flex and they seem to sail exactly the same. -signed- Injun Ear (formerly known as Eagle Eye) |

I hate when they can't get snow off my foad. But then, in general, I don't hang my foad out in the snow anyway. As for driving to the store in a snowmobile, been there done that. Only I didn't have one of those fancy snowmobiles with the Rotax engine, ski steering & tracked drive... I used a tractor instead. -signed- Injun Ear |
