OT / My nurse friend was right
Senator Johnson continues to be almost a vegetable. Some say he's like Terri Schiavo.
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2...#comment-16576 Read the comments. Especially the one by Neal Warner at the bottom. He's got it right my nurse friend says he's not as bad as Schiavo but he's closer to what she was than a man capable of being a senator. Pretty soon the governor's gonna have to pick a replacement. He or she will be a Republican. That means Republicans get the Senate back. It's God's will.... Cheers, Ellen |

"Walt" wrote Jeez. Ellen sure has a hard-on for Johnson's demise. There's a word for that kind of person. ****ed off? That's two words. Yes, I'm p.o.'d by how the press NEVER does its job. Look how they've reported it from the start. They haven't given one fact. It's all cover up and pie-in-the-sky speculation. It's all hopes and prayers and red rosy rhetoric. Do we need newspapers for that? The man had a massive stroke. Lots of brain cells died. He's going to never regain his former body function or full brain function. The best he will ever do is linger on in a highly diminished state. He will need care the rest of his life. I'm sick of lies and hopes and prayers going for news. That's not news/that's crap. I soooo sick of crap. It insults me newspapers actually expect people to buy it. I feel sorry for the man and his family. But, they should count their blessings. If it weren't for modern medicine they'd be saying prayers on the man's grave. But stop handing out a load of crap to the voters. He's history as a senator. Stop the insanity. Cheers, Ellen |

And then, after consulting with doctors and relatives, and much deliberation, his wife decides to pull the plug. Will the conservative Republicans pass emergency legislation to prevent this? From the sound of it, Ellen is ready to pull the plug now, even though he's talking. |
