Yes, they're still strutting their stuff. The parade was
postponed due to rain on NYD.



I guess I always liked them because I never understood what they were all
about. Anyone know for sure?

Mummers in England were usually apprentices to undertakers and walked
before the hearse as a symbol of mourning. Oliver Twist was a mummer in
Dicken's rale...


Did those early Brits dress like American Indians and play banjos, too?
