Duh! Better clean your glasses or check the battery in your calculator, Tom. Mine says 51C = 123.8F

Cheers,
Ellen

I just thought of something. Probably Tom doesn't know how to use a calculator even if he has one. ;-0
So, for Tom and other dummies it can be figured out on paper pretty easy.

F = 9/5C + 32.

9/5 x 51 = 91.8

91.8 + 32 = 123.8.

See, I learned *something* in school.

Cheers,
Ellen

Ha, Thom!
Clearly you have never been in the engine room of a cruiser in the tropics,
sitting on top of the boiler setting up the safety valve. Wrung out my
boiler suit like a dishrag afterwards...

Oh Yes I Have Edgar,

On top of a 600# Stm. Blr. Servicing Steam Pots on a Bailey Steam
meter.

Those were younger years though. Great way to handle a "Hang-over"

I didn't have to google that one. I've got it memorized. It's good to know it.
Most of the countries use centigrade. Fahrenheit is better because it makes more
sense and it has more degrees between freezing and boiling. So you just gotta
know the equation by heart so you can understand what foreigners are talking about.

Cheers,
Ellen
