Luckily the is absolutely no link between space weather or any other conditions in space and terrestrial weather on the earth or we could be in for some climatic deviations. Climate and weather models have proven this. The CME will cause an extraordinary deflection of the magnetosphere which will change both the Schumann Resonance Frequencies and the atmospheric voltage gradient. You can monitor this with fairly simple equipment - even a sailboat! With the boat in the water just unground the mast and monitor the voltage between the mast and the grounding plate. If you aren't too close to powerlines and flourescents run this connection through your stereo speakers and listen. Here's a link to a product you can listen with: http://www.auroralchorus.com/wr3.htm It can also hear meteors punching into the atmosphere. Add some sophistication to this and one can listen to rocket exhaust plumes (and characterize the rocket) or retro rockets firing (to detect maneuvering). The wonderful world of cold plasmas and rocket science is so much fun! |
