Defending the Indefensible!!!!
I think JimC works for the MacGregor Boats company. Why else on earth would
somebody spend so much time talking about such a flimsy and ugly boat. I was gonna say *sailboat* but the Mac26 is more like a motor sailor than a sailboat. He says he's a lawyer. He probably defends MacGregor against the hundreds of lawsuits they get filed against them every year. Things like endangerment, false advertising, unsuitability for intended use, polluting the visual environment, etc etc etc..... Water ballast is stupid. All it does is put water in the bottom of the hull. It doesn't add any weight at all it just lowers the boat down into the water. Then it sloshes back and forth and slows the boat down. Dumb! Take a look at the mast. I've got spaghetti straps on my tops that are thicker than Mac26 masts. Take a look at how high-sided and flat the hull is. I bet it sounds like a drum inside. I'd be ashamed to be seen in a Mac26. I think JimC is ashamed too that he bought such a lame-o boat. I bet he won't make the same mistake twice. But, since he works for MacGregor he maybe might. Cheers, Ellen |

If he's happy sailing his Mac than more power to him, it's not like he's Capt. Rob sitting at home playing jacks and looking at pictures of his short sailing season. Joe |

Even JimC is not as big a liar as Capt. Rob. But that ain't really saying much..... But, I think you missed my take entirely about JimC. It's plain as the nose on my face that he's *NOT HAPPY* sailing his Mac. Somebody that's happy doesn't spend so much time *acting* like he's happy. When somebody's really happy they just go sailing and if somebody tells them they have a stupid boat they just laugh or flip them off or something that doesn't take so much time. Duh! Cheers, Ellen |

Mac must be doing something right, as not a week goes by that I do not see a Mac on the lake here. Joe |

It's got none, believe me. But you think I'm talking about bugs? If I wanted to talk about bug cockroaches I wouldn't have used cock roaches. There's a difference but maybe just us girls know what it means. It's those ugly fat sweaty guys who keep coming around who're only interested in one thing...... Cheers, Ellen |

No, but it does mean that they are successful by continuing to prosper
despite a large percentage of the population disliking them intensely... "Ellen MacArthur" wrote in message reenews.net...
