Thank You
As a follow up to my towing story. The guy stopped by as I
was tying up yesterday. He apologized for not thanking me, said he was just so upset ( understandable) , and then thanked me about 5 times. My faith in mankind is restored. Scotty |
Thank You

The guy in the shed next to me had a Cougar powerboat: http://www.yachtshare.com/images/boats/3995_1_l He needed to pull the engines so I towed him to the travel lift slip with my dink. He said he would let me drive it across the bay a few times when he put the engines back in...and the SOB sold the boat and bought a giant clorox bottle powerboat I'd never be caught dead on. From now on it's cash up front for towing powerboats. Joe |

Years ago, when the water levels on the Great Lakes first fell by about 2.5', we ran aground in an area we used to sail over with impunity. A couple in a Catalina 30 pulled us off, and we waved and yelled "thanks" as they departed, but I'm not sure they heard us. So later we took them a case of beer. Better late than never. Max |

Max Better than the time we were sailing along and passsed a certain Union sitting off the point...we waved happult as we passed by hoping they were having a nice lunch parked in irons...later, when they arrived back at the dock, they wondered why we didn't stop and help them unground themselves... |
