Youtube has some clips of Catamarans going fast....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dE4BJunQICY As per my own experience on a few cruising cats, it's about the least involving sailing there is. Clip above is a fast 14 knots and it's just a snore. This is why we like monohulls. Of course the fast and fun cats are a different animal! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=do7nWUgijZs But can someone show me a clip of a PDQ 36 sailing and having fun like a J30, Express 30, 35s5 or even a Catalina 34??? ![]() Ozzy, those are all giant performance cats. Show me ANY clip of a PDQ 36 or Prout 40 doing anything remotely entertaining. Doesn't happen. That's the selling point. Sailing without the feeling of sailing. I don't dislike cats at all. They are very practical. I'm just now looking to make sailing THAT practical. RB 35s5 NY |
