Looks almost like SMA connectors and semi rigid but no microwave equipment would ever hook up to a meter like that. That prairie masker stuff was/is classified. http://www.hawaiian-music.com/real2/bubbles.html I use to have a 3"38 rolling around the office. I would take you up on your offer but you would have to accept a much larger, useless piece of microwave equipment in return. |

I asked my students what they thought would happen if I dropped a compound gauge into a vacuum chamber and dropped the pressure to 500 microns. Most of them guessed wrong, and were surprised that the gauge read zero before, during, and after the vacuum was achieved. Scout |

Doug,
is your rear mast support a permanent fixture? (is "permanent fixture" redundant? lol) Scout "DSK" wrote in message .. . The deer get used to the fact that the dog will or can only go so fae, and since most communities now have strict orinances about loose dogs, deer are losing their inate fear of them. |

The deer probably realized there was no threat and was wondering what we could offer for dessert after he eats all our ivy. We have dozens of deer that wander thru the neighborhood. The corridor between our fence & the neighbor's is like a highway every evening. The dog is a riot. He had a turtle for a pet last summer. A box turtle got in our back fence and the dog carried him around like a toy, then would put him down & wait for him to peek out of his shell. I put the turtle far back in the woods but he came back. Then when the dog got tired of him, he apparently wandered away on his own. My favorite local wildlife is a pair of very large owls. Regards Doug King |

Good thing no Russian navy guys read this newsgroup, eh? I would take you up on your offer but you would have to accept a much larger, useless piece of microwave equipment in return. Hmm... we could probably work out a swap, but I have to keep enough working room in the garage for my next boat project. As stuff accumulates, the boats have gotten smaller- first a 19' Lightning, then a Johnson 18, now a 9 footer. DSK |

"Scout" wrote in message . .. When you get right down to it, aren't all gauges differential? ALL measurements of any kind are "differential" as they measure to some kind of reference. Differential usually refers to the active or dynamic measurement inputs, the input being 2 and both can change. Some gauges/measurements have their own reference built and are called "single ended". The reference is this case is fixed whether it be pressure, voltage, length etc. |

Actually, you'd be surprised at what some animals will do. My brother had a small farm with some chickens and sheep, 3 dogs, and five cats. One dog named "Big", a big playful ball of fur who looked like a mix of black lab and something really hairy would run out into the yard and play with the deer. They would chase him around the yard for awhile, and then he would chase them for awhile. When they got tired, they would lay down together. But Big hated sheep. One of his cats (whose name I forgot) would go hang out with wild turkeys he found in the woods. Once in awhile as long as the dogs were in the house he would lead them down into the yard like a gaggle of geese and he was their mother. That same cat would kill squirrels and leave them on the deck. |

The fleas are the issue. After an animal has died, they look for a new host.
