Squirrels, flea ridden rats with bushy tails, shoot'em I say. You can

Little *******s ruined most of my pepper crop one year, they'd take just
one or two bites out of each pepper and then move on down the row to the
next plant... one of these years I'm going to plant habaneros and see
what that does to them!

Go to a gardening shop and get a spray bottle of stuff that has wolf
anal gland scent in it and spray it around the perimeter of the garden
and down your mulch rows...don't get it on you, though...stuff is tres
nastee...I was amazed at how well it kept the rodents out of my
garden...didn't work on the chickens, though...they must have a
different method of detecting enemies than the sense of smell because it
didn't seem to bother them..they'd peck the tomatoes..finally just
strung some chicken wire around that area to keep them out since they
left everything else alone...
