snip Cleanest & healthiest air on the planet? snip Fresh Breezes- Doug King 1974, 500 miles off the west coast of Africa, a few miles north of the Equator, G.A.T.E. Project, N.O.A.A. ship Oceanographer (OSS-01) - I was asking one of the scientists aboard about air quality as he was testing it. He replied something to the effect that where we were it was the cleanest air on Earth. Then he told me it had something like 150 particles per cubic [inch/centimeter/something or other...] of mostly dust which I thought sounded like pretty dirty air. He proceeded then to tell me what NYC had for air particulate content, and I thought "That sounds like it has to be a solid block!" Quite an eye opener. |
