Did he bring any of his characters along to help? You would
have had a full crew.

Dave brought along his friend Otto.

Dave also had a very slick Ritchie laptop plotter. They are out of production
but I have found that Weems & Plath has a somewhat similar device. It's not
quite as slick as what Dave has, but I've got one on order. It was very
refreshing to sail with someone else who actually knows how to navigate. His GPS
is present, but he keeps it in the cabin, and we only referred to it once to get
our location when a question arose.

Dave is a very competent sailor, and good company. I hope I get a chance to sail
with him again some time.

CWM

Did you tell him he was going to die soon like you told Ole Thom. You
are as big an ass as Capt RB. You told Dave some bad things here on
this board and I bet in person you are a wimpy puss. I'd knock that
chip off your shoulder in a flash wise guy.

Hey, you're going through those socks pretty fast. Lessee:

Bob Crantz,
Lloyd Bonafide,
Ed Wood,
Gilligan,
Bluto,
etc.
etc.

Nice try but no cigar. Nice company you keep.

I must say I'm amused by one who performs an act of kindness in real time,
and then becomes the perennial asshole on Usenet, BB.

Boy do you ever sound like a page out of the Rumsfield playbook. Grow up,
if
possible, Doug.

Google your posts as BB and Mysterry and then come back here and tell Doug
to grow up. You're delusional.

In a particular light one may say he is balanced, certainly not
consistent though. I doubt he acted in kindness. There are alterior
motives at play.

No, Crantz. IP addresses are extremely difficult to fake, and yours
highlights your socks like a flood lamp.

What about the chance of several bright people all faking the same IP
address? It has been known to happen.

Did you know a good gauge of how free the citizens of a country are is the
number of lawyers in that society. The more lawyers, the more freedom. Let's
become more free: increase the number of lawyers!

Ladies and gents, may I present for your amusement...

Maxdroop, Bluto, and Dougly - The ASA THREE STOOGES!

Now, somebody go look up "alterior", and let the rest of us know what
they are talking about. And for the love of God, somebody help poor
Dougly get that gum wrapper off of his shoe!

CWM

Sorry, Charlie! I choose to lurk these days, I just hope *our enemies* take
their beanie caps off! Bwahwhawahawhahwahahahahahahahahaaaa!

I just want to say that I appreciate you helping out my friend Dave!

I wish to offer the group an "olive branch" against everyone here...

Can we all get along and turn this group for fun instead of politics and
netkkkoping?

Time to reload there LP. I'll explain it to you since the pictures weren't
enough. The website referenced is for common misspellings or misuse of
words. The word "alterior" was shown to be a frequently incorrent usage for
"ulterior". Next to the word "alterior" was a picture of a jackass. Now for
the hard part. A few threads back CWM and Bluto were referenced to be
jackasses by Maxipad. CWM was said to have alterior motives by Bluto. CWM
correctly called Bluto on its usage. I stepped in (now concentrate here,
this is the punchline part) and showed that by picture definition "alterior"
had a jackass next to it. This would indicate "jackass motives" in the
previously mentioned threads. Though the humor is convoluted, it is also the
timing here. Where would one possible find a picture of a jackass associated
with the word "alterior"? So, you see, the convolution and unexpected
outcome produce a subtle, witty form of humor (that means it is funny -
hahahaha!). You may not find it funny or even understandable but rest
assured there is someone on this planet who does. I know that one didn't fly
past Katy.

Once you have to explain a joke, it is no longer humorous.

Absolutely. Consider that the explainee found no humor found in the first
place.
