hints for finding a boat hull?
I have a friend looking for a hull to build on. Something in the 15 to 30 foot range. He's a pretty good wood worker and has already built a boat from the keel up. Anyone have any tips for finding a healthy hull?

I know where you can find a nice one. It is stripped out and
the owner doesn't have time to finish it. It is a 60's vintage Lecomte Medalist 33. The boat had a keel hung rudder. This has been removed and I think there is a glass tube and a new spade rudder that goes with the boat. If I didn't have too many projects, I'd take the boat myself for a project. It is a very tough hull, can take a beating, and is ocean capable. It is one of the first production fibgerglass boats built in the days before they knew how strong fibgerglass was and they built the hulls thick out of solid glass. I would not be surprized if this boat would stop a bullet. History of the company http://www.lecomteyachts.com/profile_frame.htm Bart "Scout" wrote in message . .. There's a Hunter 25' sitting down the road from me, it was
sunk, trucked up here and repaired after hurricane Andrew. No mast, inside is trashed. I'm sure it would be low $$$. Would that be of interest? -- Scott Vernon Plowville Pa _/)__/)_/)_ "Scout" wrote in message ... Thanks Bart - I'll forward it to him.
