Do you have an unlimited towing contract with Sea-Tow or TowboatUS? If
so, there is a possibility that your are covered for a tow to your
home port in this situation.

Good thought, Charlie. I think I do have unlimited. I'll have to follow up
with them.

Not going to be covered, towing policies cover the boat inability, not
the Capt'n inability.

Good try! Come on Charlie, you are in Norwalk right? Go give dave a
hand.

Dave I'll do it if you pay for my transportation to and from Houston
;0)

I did check out Sea Tow, and Joe's right. They cover busted boats, not
busted owners. It was a good suggestion, though.

You could go down and snap off the rudder :0)

No, I'm not in Norwalk. I was born there, but haven't

lived there
since the early 70's. I've already told Dave that if I can

get out of
some other obligations, I will try to help him. He won't

have to
reimburse me for anything. Well... maybe a martini at the

Black Seal
or something like that! Meanwhile, his towing contract, or

his boat's
insurance might very well cover this, and it's worth a few

phone calls
to check it out.

You like bringing trouble on yourself? Why not just put a sign on your
back saying "Kick me"

He wouldn't help Dave. He is too busy watching TV.
