![]() "Joe" wrote | Tell us about your sailing, your boat, your latest adventure and why | you like sailing. | | You pitching a bitch is getting old Ellen. Sorry if I seem like a bitch. I'm not really but this news group is just so much like hanging out in a garage. I have a Tangerine by Renken. It has sails and NO motor. It has no battery and it has no instruments. It has a compass and that's all it has. I last sailed three days ago most of the day long. I packed a picnic lunch. I sailed in and out of the harbor and the winds were light and fickle. I didn't have to worry about finding and connecting wires. I didn't spend any time checking the charge of my batteries. I didn't worry about any prop cavitation. I sailed. I anchored. I went swimming and I scrubbed the bottom. It needs new paint, the stuff is growing fast on it. I do most of my sailing during the week because there are way so many people rushing back and forth in their motor boats on the week-ends. To me they're just a bother and ruin the experience. I like sailing because it takes me away from the hustle and bustle. I like getting an all over tan but no gawkers. Happy? Cheers, Ellen |
