Default Owner's Comment on Doug and Seaward

He can never defeat logic and facts.

Uh...and the facts presented by Doug were what, Gilly???
Hmmmm?

For anyone who has serious interest in the Seaward line, which IS in
fact regarded as a well built little boat, they can visit this site:

http://home.att.net/~seaward25/articles.htm

According to Doug, none of this info matters, but I don't think many
people would ignore it. Of course the Seaward is no Hunter 19!!!!

What a laugh....you poor sods were here yapping while I was sailing in
the rain. Will you ever be men?

Are you hoping to get some sense out of Bubbles?

True. Better off ignoring him.

The antidote is quite simple.

He can never defeat logic and facts.

Who is this dweeb DSK? What an obvious wannabe... Maybe he should
post to a motorboat newsgroup instead. It's pretty obvious he knows
little or nothing about sailing.

Hear, hear! Another insightful post from the leader of the pack.

What energy! What stamina! Keep dishing out the beatings Captain!
I enjoy reading your posts that demonstrate your obvious superior
grasp of sailing and unexcelled first-hand knowledge of sailboats
large and small.

Something you will never be able to do, even though you advise everyone
else
that it's the smart thing to do!

I can put Doug, Gilly or pretty much anyone here through hoops simply
because they CAN'T ignore me. My trolls are too sweet, to funny and
just too damn clever.

So it is, so it shall always be.

But, I wonder how hooking up such a bunch of losers can be much fun
considering they're the bottom rung of the boarding ladder...

There are some real sailors here....

Jeff, though he sails a Cat, actually takes long trips. Mooron
certainly uses his Nordica. Ozzy's health is troubled, but he gets out
there otherwise. I tease John Cairns about his Catalina 28, but he's
clearly out there having fun. Old Thom retired from sailing and made
excellent use of his Capital Yachts PH boat. Scotty, up until this
season, cruised his little 30 footer plenty. I hope he doesn't give up
on sailing. I really have no idea if Sloco sails, but I sure as hell
know that Doug doesn't. In fact the only boat Doug ever had appeared to
be some toy boats and a Hunter 19. How anyone could own a Hunter 19 is
simply a question for an old parrot somewhere. A Seaward sure looks
nicer to my eyes.
But as my surveyor friends are fond of saying, there's always one
asshole in every yard that thinks he knows more than they do. That
"asshole" will give out bad advice and care not if it's true or not or
applicable. He just needs to hear himself pontificate. Doug fits that
to a T, even if he doesn't know it. I actually think he responds to my
silly posts because he does know it...and he knows that I know it...and
he can't stand it.
Ah, well. We're planning on sailing most of the week and next weekend.
I hope most of you can get out there. August was an awesome sailing
month on the Long Island Sound.

Thanks for filling me in...

|
| Jeff, though he sails a Cat, actually takes long trips.

Nothing at all wrong with a wellfound cat. They're making some
fine designs these days.

| Mooron
| certainly uses his Nordica.

Stout vessel but on the slow side. Good for those who value safety over
fast passagemaking.

| Ozzy's health is troubled, but he gets out
| there otherwise.

Probably the health thing is his own fault. I bet the bloke smokes
cigarettes, drinks hard liquour and womanizes.

| I tease John Cairns about his Catalina 28, but he's
| clearly out there having fun.

Good little boat. Not anything to cross oceans with but for
week-ending and coastal cruising it'll do.

| Old Thom retired from sailing and made
| excellent use of his Capital Yachts PH boat.

About as sorry a boat as DSK's trawler but Doug's trawler
sails faster with the riding sail up and drawing. Folks who no
longer sail really have little business posting here.

| Scotty, up until this
| season, cruised his little 30 footer plenty. I hope he doesn't give up
| on sailing.

Probably will give it up. His boat was certainly uninspiring. I hear tell
it was a Seidelmann (sp?) But, then again, what does any dumb hillbilly
truck driver know about sailboats?

| I really have no idea if Sloco sails, but I sure as hell
| know that Doug doesn't.

Sloco who?

| In fact the only boat Doug ever had appeared to
| be some toy boats and a Hunter 19. How anyone could own a Hunter 19 is

Right you are. A Hunter of any size is a cheap entry-level boat
at best.

Think he'll bite on that obvious troll? Probably :-)
