Doug-A Brutal Truth

There is a reason for all of Doug's hot air and bullish narrow minded
nonsense. Recently he told everyone that coamings can only have a
single purpose. Being displaced from his own dreams of sailing, he's a
bitter man. This is the reason why:

Look at her, Doug. That pretty lady is enjoying her time aboard Heart
of Gold. Unlike you I found the right woman. She has zero interest in
powerboats and loves the feel of sailing. No amount of "practicality"
would push her into something like a trawler. Since she cares about me,
she wouldn't walk away from a C&C 121 either. In fact, as I said
before, I had to talk her out of the C&C 99!
I understand that you're angry. And at your age options are few, and
dwindling moment by moment. Being a MAN isn't about getting your way,
Doug. It's not about controling the woman in your life either. It's
about choosing a mate who shares the same dreams.
I guess your wife was dreaming about diesels, big props and a sofa on
board. No one here would dare be honest with you of course....but they
all know I'm right.
Shhhhhhhhhh. Here comes Doug, Dead Sailor Powering.

You haven't been "displaced" from sailing, Bubbles. Was that
attempt at a pun? You just have such pathetic skills &
knowledge that you think it's worth bragging about sailing a
J-29 for a half hour in light air.

You're envious that other people have nice boats that are
actually REAL. Isn't that why you stalk other people's wives
and post other people's sailing pics? Is that why you're
posting your bitter & envious spew less than 3 minutes after
I post a reply to Mooron, who BTW is a real captain not an
internet wanna-be.

When was the last time you sailed in 25 knots of wind, Bubbles?

WOW! Dude, calm down. I know the truth is tough to deal with. I didn't
see your comment to Mooron yet. He's he the one who told you it's
illegal to sit on a coaming?
You really are a bitter fella. And it won't be any use for you unless
you grow up and get a sailboat...like the C&C YOU wanted until your
wife stomped all over it with her size 11's.
I'm not angry, like you. I have pity for you.

You have me confused with someone else..... my policy is "sit where you
feel comfortable...if that's on deck in a sea... sit wearing a lifejacket
and harness."

Pretty thick ankles she has.

I believe the correct term may be "cankles" meaning calf-ankles.

Take a close look at the ankle, arms and face.

She could be a man!

Yikes!!

Don't know about him, but it really piped up here on Sunday. Gusts
were higher than 30. I'm guessing 35 at times.

I know your right...!

I was monitoring a couple of my favorite weather bouys
that are located off of the Santa Barbara Ventura coast
line.

They were transmitting some awesome wind speeds...
compared to what I normally see for our particular
region.

That sounds like fun. Did you take the Yamaha out?

DSK

Yup... she's built like a brick, and while we did get very little
water from spray, I really felt like putting in the second
reef. Instead, we just dropped the traveller and kept a goin. Monday
was a lot more mellow. Things only started picking up around 4:30, and
we were practically back by then.

I'm going to post some pics in a while...

Overproof carries it's own restraint systems......
