No. I generally like to head east rather than west for cruises. Had a boat on City Island for a number of years, and hit a lot of the ports in that end of the Sound, but with BI, Buzzard's Bay, the Elizabeths, the Vineyard, the Cape and Nantucket within fairly easy reach of where I now keep the boat, plus generally better sailing conditions on the east end, there's really not much reason to go the other way. It would be a very long trip against the current. But a very quick one with the current. Sounds about right, we had to build a cofferdam to work on the bank and I know they could only move the crane barge at slack tide IIRC. BTW, I'll be there tomorrow. Scotty |
