![]() Lots of berths sells boats, and Bobby eats that marketing stuff up. It's got nothing to do with practicality. It's funny to see how little Dave knows about boats and what makes them popular. There are two very solid reasons for a quarter birth. 1) When daysailing with friends, it's a great place to throw bags and cloths and other non-fragile items. 2) On smaller boats, the quarter is often the ONLY place for a taller person to sleep. This was the case on the Catalina 27 and the Pearson 30. If you don't know that basic little item, well...it sort of explains the CS27. Dave is either quite short or doesn't sleep aboard. RB 35s5 NY |
