"Ted Hood saw the boat at the Norwalk Show and wanted to handle the
boat
at his Marblehead, Mass. dealership. But as CS insisted that Hood also
stock the CS 27, which Hood considered unattractive, no deal was
struck. "

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Nice boat, Dave! Seriously...I like the larger CS
boats...but the 27 is a hunk of flotsam!

I guess Dave doesn't respect the opinion of Ted Hood. Oh well.

So having demonstrated your ignorance with regard to speed, you now
want to
change the subject to beauty.

Ignorance to speed? How? Your boat is slow. Period. I posted the info
from the review of the boat. I'm inclined to accept it over some poor
owner who can't afford a newer nicer design.

Still worse, the review I posted says that more than 50% have blister
issues!!! Is it any wonder that this CS 27 is not classic plastic?

And then finally, one of the top designers around wouldn't represent
the entire CS line because he found the 27 so ugly!!!!

Everything above is true, and found online. I only posted the info
after you claimed you owned a quality boat. Oh, well you do! A BAD
quality boat.
I know, I know...you have one of the fast, pretty, non blistering
CS27s, right?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!

Dave, do you know anything about the CS 33? We're considering acquiring one.

has ceased to be amusing.

Thanks! I have seen the review... just thought you might have some insight.
It seems like a good boat for our organization.

I don't, but there's a wealth of information about all of the CSs on the
CS
Owners' Association mailing list. The CSs are very popular in Canada, so
it
has a very active list. Sign up at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CSOA/. Once you join you can search the
archive, or ask specific questions in the group, and you're pretty sure to
get a number of responses. In case you haven't found it, there's a review
of
the boat at
http://www.closereach.com/csoa/cs33.htm.

Before buying my boat I subscribed to several lists to see what kind of
problems might be encountered with various boats. Considered the Pearson
Flyer for some time but found that integrated alternator on the BMW
diesels,
and the possibility of a wet core below the water line, created possible
problems it just wasn't worth dealing with. Had similar experiences with a
couple of other lists. Learned from the CS list to check whether the
potential purchase had been barrier coated to protect against the
potential
blisters BS mentioned.

Time looking over a boat's mailing lists is well spent.

A few years ago
Dennis Conner bought a CS27 to go PHRF racing in San Diego. He could
have bought anything. He cleaned up.

BWahahahahahhahahaha! Okay......! So the boat has a rating to allow for
PHRF wins. So does an Oday 28 and Catalina 30!!! It's still a SLOW
BOAT, Sloco! Slower than your boat, slower than my boat, SLOWWWWWW!
It's also ugly for sure and has a SEVERE blister history...one of the
WORST in fact.

Yep, Sloco knows boats! He thinks winning PHRF makes a boat fast! I
guess that makes the 35s5 faster than the C&C 99 for sure!
