BUT, Dave said he sailed starting at 11:00 am....OOPS, no 5 knots,
Dave!!! It's already over 10 at that point! And by 2:00 it's over 20
knots!

That's the report for McArthur airport which is close to the Great South
Bay.

The wind you experienced would be better reported from a Connecticut
station. If Islip/McArthur reported 30 knots, I would be the LIS had gust
25% greater.
