Joe's Miles Until He Sleeps....
The CPT is buildt like a tank, I've never had a problem yet with over
2K miles and in some big weather. 2000 miles since 1999??? That works out to aproximately 340 miles per year...about a month of sailing for us if we just do short daysails!!!! Joe's big, faster than a Swan 67 motorsailor has only sailed 340 miles per year for 7 years plus!!! SEVEN years with the wrong boat and those few miles prove it beyond any doubt. He's got a houseboat that takes short sails on VERY few days per year. Or maybe he's had a couple of longer cruises mixed with some short ones....but let's be honest...very little sailing indeed. That's also not many miles to really know your boat. It should be interesting to see how Joe responds to this. It's his own statement and I'm only repeating it. 2K miles in 7 years and he claims he's got the right boat. He needs 7 years to outfit her...and shows no sign of leaving for anywhere. Finally...how much of that 2K miles were under power. In spite of his silly claims we all know he's got a sea snail that is often in desperate need of the engine. Well....? RB 35s5 NY |

Your photographs prove that you never go more than a mile from your marina. That means that you do a maximum of 165 miles per year ... **if** you manage to go sailing every single day of your wimpy season. regards Donal -- |

All the time, half, quarter maybe. Yeah I got 2K miles on the auto pilot. When you pulling your boat out for the winter? Joe RB 35s5 NY |

..... Or about twice as many miles as you manage. Let's imagine that you go sailing **every** day from May to September. Donal, is that the NEW math? It really wouldn't matter if we sailed on a pond. We still sailed (for example) our C&C 32 an average of 3 days per week. Most of the daysails lasted 5 hours. So let's be conservative at say that we sailed under 100 miles per week. That would still come out to more than 2000 miles in a single summer if we never cruised at all...which we did. Joe took seven years for that. Now, Joe has a big heavy steel motorsailor, but according to him it's much faster than your 33.7 or my 35s5, so there's no reason for it to be sitting at the dock. Still waiting for Joe's response on this. 2K miles in 7 years. Doesn't seem possible to sail so little. RB 35s5 NY |

Thats over 1180 - 24 hours at sea underway- and not including any RedCloud time. When you get close you let me knew...cabin boy. Capt. Joe RB 35s5 NY |

What does all that powerboat stuff have to do with a SAILBOAT that's rarely sailed, Joe? So I guess it's true then. You should sell Redcloud and buy a boat that suits the way you sail, such as a Cape Dory Typhoon or Rhodes 19. RB 35s5 NY |

I can pick when and where I sail, I do not need a weekend warrior like you suggesting anything. You know nothing about the sea, or the real men who sail it. Capt. Joe RB 35s5 NY |

I can pick when and where I sail, Just let us know when you're leaving. So far your poor Redcloud has spent most of it's life on the dock. RB 35s5 NY |

Yeah I got 2K miles on the auto pilot. Ohhhh...why didn't you say so. Can you send us a pic of the autopilot hour meter? Thanks! RB 35s5 NY |

Joe's Miles Until He Sleeps....
No, no hour meter...sorry. Would you like a copy of my logs? No, Joe. That would prove nothing. Your imagination has already been well documented, such as when you wrote that Redcoud had a hull speed of 13 knots. No one with any knowledge of boats would make such a dumb statement. Less than 400 miles per year and you claim to have the right boat. 7 years tied to a dock and living in a small boat...and you claim to have the right boat. In a few weeks we'll have exceeded you sailing miles for the year...and we got off to a slow start. The desperate claim that the 2000 mile figure was "just" for the autopilot was really really really really sad. Can you also tell us how many miles you have under the head and BBQ? RB 35s5 NY |
Joe's Miles Until He Sleeps....
Sorry cabin boy, that you have such an fixation on who has sailed the
most. So go ahead and ignore the facts again. With over 1180 day to get a masters ticket, then working that ticket another 4 yrs, then toss in the time we spent on the shrimpboat we owned, charter deliveries, then RedCloud, 4 years in the Navy and my day sailor, I'm quite sure you will never live long enough to be able to come near the sea time and miles at sea I have. Infact you will never come within a 10th of the time I have Robert. Face it, you are a weekend warrior on par with the 5 million other weekend wanna be's. You have shown quite clear you are no Captian with your willingness to let your infant sail without a life jacket. And your claim of 30 kt winds when NOAA says 10 kts. You can use your new puppet Charlie to throw up all the smoke and mirrors and kiss your arse all you wan't.......but it's still crystal clear you are a failure as Capt, Director, Broker, Photographer,ect.ect.ect. Face it Robert you do everything half assed and nothing well. Guess that has to do with growing up as a spoiled rotton brat. And I've lived aboard for 9 yrs Rob, on my little 42 fter. I know you think that must be torture, and thats good, you do not ever need to live aboard... Capt. Joe Cabin boy wrote: No, Joe. That would prove nothing.
