My ocean is green and has been for as long as I can recall. Bob posted pics
of blue water just over yonder from me. What makes the difference between
the two?

His camera does not reproduce what the eye sees. Blue-green light has the
least optical attenuation in sea water, hence the color. Other colors are
absorbed.
